How to deal with minor burns and cuts....

When dealing with burns and cuts its important to have a first aid kit prepared. Minor injuries happen daily so its smart to be ready when they occur. Recently I had a oil burn on my right arm, after the burn occurs its important to react fast. A key first step is to cool the area where the burn occured. This is done by using COOL water. Not cold water, extreme cold applied to a burn can further damage the tissue. Running cool/ warm water over the area for at-least 5 mins effectively cools the area and stops the "stinging/ burning" sensation. After this you would want to clean area with a antibiotic cream or a mild soap. The next step would be to apply a lotion or Aloe Vera preferably to the area to aid in the healing process. The Aloe leaf is key to allowing the skin to heal properly and not leave a "darkened mark". If the skin begins to blister DO NOT pop the blisters; rupturing the blisters increase the risk of infection. Lastly I chose to apply bentonite clay to the affected area. Bentonite clay is rich in vital nutrients and minerals and helps remove impurities.

I hope you find this post helpful when dealing with minor skin burns or cuts. Stay tuned for more content.
